My MS Symptoms

cryingI’m 38 and my body feels like I’m 95. I guess Multiple Sclerosis (MS) can do that. Tricky tricky. I have tons of symptoms, some of which are more debilitating, while others are totally annoying.

My worse symptoms

I feel these everyday. They have the greatest impact on my quality of life

  • blurred vision
  • lack of balance
  • dizziness
  • nausea
  • muscle weakness, especially the legs
  • knee hyperextension
  • nerve pain in feet
  • stimulation sensitive (noise, lights, activities, people)
  • cannot multitask
  • low back pain
  • low endurance
  • fatigue – sometimes debilitating

Moderate symptoms

  • poor coordination (I cannot type as fast or write neatly)
  • sexual dysfunction
  • pain behind my eyes
  • tingling in hands
  • urinary retention
  • pressure in lower abdomen
  • constipation
  • lower abdominal pain
  • rib pain and tightness or cramping
  • depression and anxiety
  • temperature dysregulation (heat and cold sensitivity)
  • vertigo
  • spasticity

Milder symptoms

  • muscles twitches
  • cognition “lapses”
  • slower speech
  • occasional swallowing issues causing choking
  • shaky hands
  • hearing difficulty

When you Google “MS symptoms” I have almost every single one, to varying degrees. I always knew I was lucky. This proves it!
