About
I’m Danielle and I have Multiple Sclerosis (MS). I have a less common (and usually more aggressive) form of MS called Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis (PPMS).
I enjoy absentmindedly putting my phone in the freezer, stumbling around like I drank 20 too many, spilling my coffee, and dropping things.
I also enjoy sarcasm, reading, open-mindedness, discussing life with my daughter, cuddling my husband, and psychology. People are fascinating. Their why, their motivation. It’s far more interesting that the what.
I’m still the me I always was – only now I have disabilities. Many of my symptoms are invisible.
Living life
I would give anything to experience life without the constant difficulties of this stupid disease. But, since that isn’t an option, I try and find the humour in everything. And focus on the good, and be grateful.
Faking it
Like many with chronic illness know too well, we become great at faking it. I deserve an academy award. Seriously.
Why I started this MS blog
I started this blog because I enjoy writing. I find it cathartic. I wish to normalize experiences those with disabilities and chronic illnesses experience, and help even just one person feel like they aren’t alone.
Nice to meet you:)
